Given our focus on solutions built on the Internet of Things (IoT), Ocelli will primarily be focusing and offering Dahua products and solutions built on IP Networking (OSI Layer 3) and Ethernet (OSI Layer 2) Cabling as the underlying connectivity basis for all CCTV products on offer.
To enable our customers to understand the CCTV technology selection criteria/features available when it comes to selecting the products required to build your solution, Ocelli has identified some very useful public tutorial videos (unedited and all rights reserved to the producers of such content) offered on YouTube to the public by various different players in the CCTV market.

Camera DORI Distance
DORI (Detection, Observation, Recognition, Identification) is championed by the British Security Industry Association and Department of Homeland Security to delineate categories of identifiable information.
The Detection level allows for reliable and easy determination of whether a person or vehicle is present. It requires 10 Pixels Per Foot (PPF).
TheObservation level gives characteristic details of an individual, such as distinctive clothing, while allowing a view of activity surrounding an incident. It requires 20 PPF.
The Recognition level determines with a high degree of certainty whether an individual shown is the same as someone that has been seen before. It requires 40 PPF.
The Identification level enables the identity of an individual beyond a reasonable doubt. It requires 80 PPF.
The DORI distance is a “general proximity” of distance which makes it easy to pinpoint the right camera for your needs. The DORI distance is calculated based on sensor specification and lab test result according to standards which defines the criteria for Detect, Observe, Recognize and Identify respectively. It is a very useful starting point for identifying the camera that meets your needs and is also listed as a filter on the Ocelli store when you use the “refine by” feature to narrow down the list of cameras on offer matching your selected attribute(s).
